During Covid a great place to consider to walk from Waikiki hotels is Ala Moana Beach Park. Especially the eastern part of the park is known as “Magic Isle” due to the magical sunsets seen from here. Careful of the changing rules. If park is closed you are still able to walk to the beach then into the water for a swim. For the most part the restrooms and showers will be open for public use. August 6, 2020 the park was still open for sunbathing…But, that evening news had the local government closed the park from parking and staging (sunbathing) to eliminate social gatherings. But, all in all, it’s still wonderful to experience Magic Isle for a stroll and wading in the shallow if not swimming. Stay Healthy and Safe!

Waikiki Beach is great….but the Ala Moana Beach Park gets you away from the concrete jungle and enjoy Hawaii’s nature with lot’s of wonderful trees to see and pathways that promotes jogging or a leisurely stroll. Shoreline fishing is popular too!
